State Bank of Mysore
State Bank Of Mysore was established in 1913 as Bank of Mysore Ltd. under the government
of Mysore, at the instance of the banking committee headed by late Dr. Sir M Visveswaria.
Later in March 1960, the bank became an associate of the State Bank of India. The
SBI holds 92.33% of its shares. The bank's shares are listed in Bombay stock exchange,
Bangalore stock exchange and Chennai stock exchange. The bank has a widespread network
throughout the country. It has as many as 654 branches, 20 extension counters that
include 6 specialised SSI branches, 4 industrial finance branches, 3 corporate account
branches, 4 specialised personal banking branches, 10 agricultural development branches,
3 treasury branches, 1 asset recovery branch and 7 service branches. The work force
comprises of 9720 skilled employees.
