In the age of malls, shopping complexes and multiplexes, flashing a string of "Credit Cards" is a normal thing which can be easily seen on the cash counter. The Gen-Next feels privileged to own a credit card and by all means, it has become trendy. Wallet with a plastic money has always fascinated me as a symbol of style, freedom and flexibility. But the sky-scrapping interest rate stood as a barrier between my wishes and their materialisation. Well, after reading yesterday's mail, I thought dreams to come true. Well, mail was regarding an offer for a low-interest credit card. It sounds better as interest charges are responsible for making a debt pile up faster. So, I decided to check out the other details.

Credit card is a form of new currency. Using the credit card is safer than carrying large amounts of cash, while travelling or commuting. Therefore, it can be said that plastic money or credit cards have become a convenience to the travelers as well as business people. Apart from the business needs, credit cards allow the users to do shopping now and pay later. If you have decided to buy the LCD for instance, from any of the stores in mall, where credit cards are accepted then you can use your credit card can be used as the mode of payment. These cards can be used to purchase favorite consumer durable goods. Moreover, the card holder can plan EMIs for payment.

Before, availing the credit card, one must check out the details like interest rate, validity and many more things. Many companies offer very low interest rates or even no interest between the grace period. Therefore, it is better to check the card’s terms and conditions. For availing the best credit card, one must check out the low interest rates which are considered in an “introductory” period or offered for a shorter term. This period can last as little as three months or as long as 15, with 6 to 12 months being a standard term.
