US being a major trading partner of most nations did not expect a reply but the favour was returned by China in kind and lawsuits were filed against US at the World Trade Centre. US lost a few and won a few of these lawsuits but China replied in kind to every move the US made and thus US made use of a different approach. They claimed that China was flooding the US market with cheap subsidised products thus affecting the domestic markets of US and exerting undue influence on their markets. China mentioned that they had the the cheapest available labour and were known for their low prices and so it was not their problem that US could not produce the product at those prices. Also a very important point was raised that US has a total population of 7.2 million individuals who are currently unemployed and being a major part of the voting citizens thus all this messed policies by the Obama Government was to please their citizens. The moves by the US Government only influenced a very very small majority of the job market and the total saving of jobs according to certain estimates was no more then 5000 to 6000 jobs. Thus all this furore about China taking American jobs was just propaganda and pretty much a pointless pissing contest. China has now become a military and economic threat to US like during the 1960's when their was tri polar world hierarchy with Russia, US and China on top. China does not act like other countries and the favour system that the US is so used to use when dealing with other major up and comers like India, Brazil among a few others does not work with China. Moreover US has been doing certain things to mess with China like improved relations to Taiwan with million dollar arms sales deals. They are loosing heir soldeirs and billions in maintaining their armed forces in these countries and also maiantining intelligence. The US economy has proved that they no longer is infallible and there are speculations that there is another crash in the making. With Chinese military strength improving and economic growth rates slated to reach double figures and the US economy surviving on positive decimal points soon China will overcome the US economy as the largest economy. Also they have billions invested in the US Treasury bonds and thus have a lot influence on the US. They are already the biggest exporters in the market and have started increasing their sphere of influence to other countries like Australia, Iran, South American countries and South East Asian countries among a host of other countries.
