Microsoft bags minor stake in Affle

Technolgy major Microsoft has picked up a minor stake in the Singapore-based firm, Affle, for an unrevealed amount. For Affle, it can well turn out a blessing in disguise as after this investment pick-up, as the same can make its presence felt even in the remotest corners of the world. Also, with its SMS 2.0 service, Affle is also expected to enhance the usage volumes of Windows Live Services and MSN content on the mobile phones. It will also be helping in the creation of large volume of mobile advertising inventory. Presently, Affle has its presence in the countries like India, Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. However, after this development, the company is planning to foray into the likes of UK, US and Australia.
