And Allianz, SE. the company was merited with the certificate of registration by Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) on 02 May, 2001 to escort the general and health insurance business in India. The company holds an accredited and paid up revenue of Rs.110 crores, wherein Bajaj Finserv Ltd holds 74% and rest of 26% are held by Bajaj Allianz, SE. Bajaj Allianz General Insurance maintained its reputation in the insurance industry by the profitable income of Rs.2578 crore last year, achieving the growth of 43%. Profit Before taxes was 167 crore and it also proudly became the first company to cross the 100 crores mark in profit after tax by executing 105 crores.In the first quarter of 2008-2009, the company earned agross premium of Rs. 733.53 crores as compared to Rs 573.73 crore last year for the same period registering a growth of 28%.
